Welcome to Valley Kids — our ministry from infancy through Grade 5. Our teachers and volunteers provide loving, secure childcare and age-appropriate Biblical teaching. We also encourage and equip parents as the primary nurturers of their child’s faith.


Here is what you want to know this fall.    Exciting! We are performing a Children’s Christmas Musical in December and we hope your K- Gr. 5 child will be part of it! See details below. INFANTS: Parent and Child Calming room (unstaffed) TODDLERS: AGES 1 & 2:   Rooms  110/111.  Starts at 9:30/11. 9:30 – Teachers: Missy Shedd and Heather Plasse |  11:00 – Rotating volunteers love on the kiddos during play time PRESCHOOL – AGES 3 (BY SEP 1) TO AGE 5 (not entering kindergarten: Room 114.  Starts at 9:30/11.  9:30 – Kelsey Dougherty |             11:00 – Kim Kingman KINDERGARTEN/1ST GRADE : Room 211.  9:30 Class begins BEFORE Family Altar Time (this is a change to allow for more classroom time).  11:00 begins at 11.  9:30 – Marsha Dickinson / Andrea McKeon |  11:00 – See Christmas Musical info below GRADES 2 & 3: Room 212.  9:30 Class begins BEFORE Family Altar Time (this is a change to allow for more classroom time). 11:00 begins at 11. 9:30 – Rainie Tubo & Becky Hackett |  11:00 – See Christmas Musical Info Below GRADES 4 & 5: Room 219 (Room change!): 9:30 class begins BEFORE Family Altar Time (this is a change to allow for more classroom time). 11:00 begins at 11:00. 9:30 – Cindy Nordquist & Dean Pratt | 11:00 – See Christmas Musical Info Below IMPORTANT INFO FOR FIRST SERVICE CLASSES – In the 9:30 service, K-5th graders start in the sanctuary with their parent/guardian, and are dismissed to class after the second worship song or communion.  K-3 exits on the left side of the stage; Gr. 4 & 5 exit on the right. Parents who want to attend an adult class during the 9:30 service should check in at the Kid Check Station and bring your children to sit with the ValleyKids volunteers in the sanctuary (front left side), who will escort children to their classroom after Family Alter Time. This assistance is only available to parents who are attending a 9:30 adult class.  If you are staying in the sanctuary, enjoy this time to worship with your children. CHRISTMAS MUSICAL/DRAMA: “The Power of the King” – presented by children in grades K-5. Two performances: Sunday December 16 at 11:00am & 5:30pm; rehearsals start SEPTEMBER 9. Great music, funny characters, and a wonderful message about the true meaning of Christmas! Please CLICK HERE to sign your child up in the musical. REGULAR REHEARSALS: Start September 9 during 11:00 service in Room 212. If your children want to participate in the musical, they must attend this 11am class during the Fall Thrive session (Sept 9-Dec 16).  Shari Dunlap and Shelly Cullen will lead this class.  They will work on their songs, the meaning/lyrics of the songs, work on some set design, create invitations, etc. Speaking Roles (Gr. 4 & 5): Auditions will be held for 4th and 5th graders who wish to have a speaking role (late September/ early October). Practices will most likely be held at the church on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings. NOT PARTICIPATING:  During the 11:00 service, children K-5 not participating in the musical will have a separate class with Erin Tubo in room 211.  TRUNK OR TREAT   Our 5th Annual Trunk or Treat is scheduled for Saturday, October 27, from 2-4pm.  SO MUCH FUN!  This event is open to our community and includes awesome trunks, a costume parade, a petting zoo, concessions, games, and door prizes. Aly Nault, Assistant Director of Valley Kids. Aly is the smiling face at our check in desk on Sunday mornings. She trains and schedules volunteers, and organizes in myriad ways, especially at the elementary age level. Married to Scott with four young children, Aly brings energy, flexibility, a love of Jesus and lots of enthusiasm to our Valley Kids program. Contact Aly
